Project Timothy is a week-long leadership training intensive for 9th through 12th-grade students, inspired by the Apostle Paul's mentoring friendship with Timothy. Project Timothy aims to inspire, motivate, train, and release a group of young leaders in the Vineyard!

Students who show leadership potential, have a desire to learn and grow in their faith, and are committed to serving for at least one year in their youth group, church, or community.

Each day we’ll have regional and national speakers offering leadership and ministry training. Our teachings are both motivational and practical—students will be trained in, and have practiced many skills including:

• giving a short teaching (depending on their year)

• leading a small group

• organizing and leading an outreach

• praying the 5-step prayer model over people

• personal reflection and time with God and more!

Each night we’ll have a time of worship, teaching, and extended time for prophetic and prayer ministry. Lastly, we’ll have lots of fun exploring Chicago and building lasting friendships with Vineyard youth from across the region.

Project Timothy is not for everyone. It’s specifically designed for High School students who exhibit qualities, values, and gifting needed for Kingdom leadership. The application helps local youth pastors/leaders and Sr. Pastors recommend students and helps prevent students who might not be the best fit.

When a student applies, the next step is for the local youth pastor/leader to fill out a recommendation for that student. Once the recommendation is submitted, the student is accepted. You can tell your student that they have been accepted.

We will be sleeping at the Evanston Vineyard in different locations. We will be on the floor, so bring whatever’s necessary for you to be comfortable on the ground.

No. We will have time every day to go to the local YMCA to take showers.
